I Solemnly Swear I am Up to No Good

Instead of doing my Eco, English, CWJ, Physics and Religion projects and assignments, i sentenced myself to reading (again) Harry Potter fanfiction, particularly ones supporting the James/Lily ship, and...occassionally the Harry/Hermione one. :D Yes, I vote for HHr. Go laugh now, if you want. so what. I have also churned out a Lily pic. XD (-->go to my devart to see).

I got addicted to HP again. I think the HP fandome have personalities planned out for the Marauders, you know? I mean, let's take a look at them:

1. James -- he's often the mischievous, chased-around-by-girls boy, champion of charmers, exceptional at quidditch, and can gain full marks and win hearts without even trying. He comes from a (usually) very good-natured pureblooded family, and is an only child. He's very, very, filthy stinking rich, and is very, very good looking. Authors depict him as a guy who dates a lot, like Sirius, but most of the time (unless the point is necessary for plot improvement), they leave that role to Sirius. Also depicted as a Lily-obsessed, bigheaded prat. Sometimes vain. Most descriptions writers use that make the girls swoon contain something about his sculpted body (through Quidditch), his soft yet untamed hair, and...what else...you know, the usuals.

2. Sirius -- well, as (and possibly even more) mischievous and chased-around-by-girls as James, can charm people without even lifting a finger, but more stoic and uncaring as perceived through Book 5. But authors portray him as light-hearted as James; basically they're quite alike. Sirius's hair would be sleek and kept, though, and often he's portrayed a bit vain (James is often pictured like this, too). The main ladies' man of the group, he's often said to have dated a vast number of girls in Hogwarts. This leads to the depiction that he charms women more than necessary, and most of the time (almost like always), succeeds. Descriptions used to make girls faint would include his hair, smirks, mischievous glints, etc.

3. Remus -- usually pictured as the quiet boy of the group, quite reluctant to participate in pranks yet participates in them anyway. Most of the time depicted as a brainiac and a bookworm -- I've read a line that said (sort of through James's POV) 'He's been with Remus for years and that boy lived in a book.' Usually told as a studious and steadfast, hardworking student, with blonde/light brown hair. More laid-back and peaceful compared to Sirius and James, who would usually spearhead the whole prank-playing schemes. But still helps them out with usual plotholes through his quick thinking. Descriptions used: Intelligent, quiet, mysterious, etc.

4. Peter -- MPP lovers and loyalists would often erase Peter from their stories, but I've seen that lesser now compared to a few years back. Peter, thankfully, started to play parts in fanfiction authors' stories nowadays, and i feel sort of appreciative because they portray Peter in a good light. He's often short, plump, shy, and a bit thick-headed, but others portray him (once he opens up) to be as witty as the rest of the Marauders are, only a bit slower in getting the lessons taught. Remus, Sirius and James are usually depicted as the brightest students in their year.

Somehow i get irritated whenever characters from the books are taken in as Lily's best friends. I've read things where Emmeline Vance, Amelia Bones, Arabella Figg (that old cat lady, Harry's used-to-be baby sitter!!), Hestia Jones and etc. were her friends. I really protest against Arabella Figg (she's so old and she's usually paired with Sirius!), but i think the others can fit. Honestly though, I think they all didn't attend Hogwarts as classmates.

But! I've read a fanfic that reads on so real that you'd think it was how things really happened during the Marauder Era. The character placings were very, very plausible (Ex: Sirius in first year, Narcissa in fourth, while Andromeda was in her seventh -- i think Bellatrix is younger than Sirius because of this), personalities very in character, and overall, just terrific.

I've ranted on too much.

Brand New Spanking Layout!

Okay. For the start of my blogging days this year, i introduce a new layout that i did NOT do myself. :D Found it in somewhere in the Internet and credit to the maker can be seen somewhere there. Cloud and Tifa look splendid.

Anyway, what's new? only 50 days more until we graduate. That means fifty more days of freakish high school hell. Also, I've gotten an account at DevArt (which would explain my absence here at my blog), and I've gotten my second and third quarter grades. I've been shot across the classroom from the third row to the very last, and i've said some crude remark to a male teacher the other day without even knowing what it really meant (no wonder he said ''tong mga batang ito oo'...).

All in all, nothing much, really. :D

Also, I've finished my year ++-long story Hakushi Kuchizuke, and plan on starting a new one, concentrated on a pair who meet each other at an airport bookstore. I think i won't be able to do this anytime soon, but I know i've got to.

I was also lucky enough to watch Gackt's Diabolos Concert last Christmas Day, lucky enough to get an iPod yet unlucky enough to break it one month into having it. I got my brother laughing at me since i only had 700+ songs (prat), got to eat Mocha Crunch Cake during the last days of the year, and got to win second place in the Patintero championships this year at the Intrams. I also passed DLSU and ADMU -- waiting for UP. :D

Finally, I got to wear a dress last Jan. 21 for a party we threw for a friend; hopefully this year i'll be able to take my friends out to dessert during the Bandfest, and i still wish that someday, my prince will come.

But for now, projects and the bed awaits -- i need to sleep. ...but maybe i'll draw a little before going off.
