Alright, who's got my stuff??

I cleared up some of my accumulating junk and found out that I'm missing quite a few. I would very much like to know with whom they are with.

The following missing stuff are:
My copy of American Gods
Vina's gift, the 2-disc DVD original copy of Final Fantasy: Advent Children

They're PRECIOUS to me. Please return them. : D

So what have I been up to?

Lately I noticed that I'm leaning more onto K-music. Not just DBSK. Of course, I love them still, but I find listening to K-music refreshing (with me listening J-pop and rock for so long.). And I think I'm losing my patience with loud music (Omo, am I getting old?!), for I recently find SuJu's Don't Don too noisy for my liking.

With Japanese music, I started with the Rock scene. After watching GLAY's Concert at Tokyo Disneyland or Universal Studios back in 2003 on NHK, I became entranced. I started with GLAY, moved onto Visual Kei and L'Arc~en~Ciel. I was pretty stuck with the Visual Kei style with Malice Mizer and started my infatuation with Gackt. Then I listened to Kagrra.

All the while liking L'Arc due to my friend, I started onto JPop. I first listened to Utada Hikaru (who doesn't? XD), Ayumi Hamasaki, Shimatani Hitomi and Mai Kuraki. I dropped the later three later (I found their voices too high for my taste).

2005-2006 was the year I started to know more Japanese artists. But I was still picky with the people I listen to. By that time I already liked Arashi and was really getting into the whole JE thing. But actually, the first group that drew me into the JE world was KAT-TUN, when I found out that Kamenashi Kazuya had my favorite male Japanese name.

by 2006-2007, I was already very engrossed in Japanese Dramas. Hana Yori Dango was the one that started it all. I remember watching the first episode just out of curiosity, and then poof - it all went downhill from there. I became a solid fan of Arashi within this time period, and started listening to Crystal Kay. I think pretty much Matsumoto Jun started my JPoppiness boom.

By 2007-2008, I was starting to get tired of the JE world. : O Mean, but I don't know. I wanted real music, nice music. Not just cute pretty boys who can sing to a microphone. I chanced upon Ikimonogakari and Ayaka (I LOVE THEM! Kiyoe and Ayaka~!) and grew addicted. It was around summer of 2007 when I chanced upon a certain song named Choosey Lover. This was the prelude to my DBSK craze.

I listened to Choosey Lover and liked it. Then I heard Shine and Summer Dream. When I heard these songs, I wasn't impressed enough to look DBSK up, but I knew they were up there somewhere. I liked the songs, I listened to them a lot, but I still didn't know whose small voice that was. But I got a copy of the a cappella version of Stay with Me Tonight, and that sparked it. I looked them up a bit, but being more accustomed to Japanese, I had a hard time putting their names to their faces. The only name I could remember was Jaejoong, since his name was just unique...sounding.

The song that really did me in was Rising Sun. When I got the song and heard it, I was blown away. Wonderful beat, melody, vocals, add in that hot guy screaming 'NOOOO' in the background. It was this song that made me look up the boys, watch the video relentlessly and try to dance their dance in the Photolab. That song hit me hard, I have around four to five copies of it in my iPod.

And then 2008. Still more of a drama freak, still picky with my selections. I don't watch any drama that's showing, i only watch those which interest me. Strangely enough, all or most of them are manga adaptations (if they're Jap dramas). I watch dramas from Japan, Korea, Taiwan. I listen lately to mostly Korean music (DBSK, Seven, Jang Ri In (lol, C-Pop!), but I still listen to Japanese music (Ayaka and Ikimonogakari - I'm still looking for a good japanese male ballad singer, aside from Hirai Ken).

I just finished catching up with We Got Married, actually. ^^

Now, I want to listen to more Clazziquai, Cherry Filter, Loveholic, Jaurim. Sung Seung-Ki and more ballad singers. So yeah. That is my asian music history. : O

^^

If you know any good male japanese ballad singer, let me know. : D

They really are REAL.

So many things have happened to me the past few days (just been to HK, -- a HANDFUL of days before L'Arc will set their feet there). And since I've been gone for a few days, I guess it was no surprise that the gals there at Soompi just sped up through the thread. Now I have fifty pages to read up to!! (lol, like I ever post there.)

But I love that thread, I swear. I get so much DBSK info from them, as well as pics -- even if I really don't have anyone with me to revel in DBSK fangirl activities, at least I have the thread. ^^'.

And with the HB approaching and done, it was so...i don't know, it was such a different feeling as I read FAN ACCOUNTS of them actually SEEING DBSK LIVE and in PERSON. It's so different. With all their descriptions and accounts, I found myself laughing and feeling so many emotions -- happy, jealous, happy, ecstatic, happy. Reading the fan accounts really gave me quite an intense feeling -- like 'wow, DBSK is ALIVE. They're real people!'

It's so amazing. I feel so happy for the fans who were able to actually see them and talk to them, take pictures of them inches away (even though I found this really er...umm, a bit intruding), even give them gifts and bump into them (Yunho bumped into a fan's shoulder!).

I guess the fact that the accounts were actually from people who are NOT living in Korea or Japan, and who are NOT Korean and Japanese made quite a difference. Being a fan of KPop and JPop while not being of either nationality, their worlds sort of excludes you. Basically you're just an onlooker with nothing to do but to watch. And watch. Observe. and then watch as they live in the same country as they do while you'd be so happy if you were even on the same continent as them. The fact that they met up with fans in America, and that American fans actually saw them...considering that they're not from Asia at all...it gives you some sort of hope. Well, it gave me some sort of hope. Even if I live somewhere actually nearer to them than America, and that I actually live in Asia, maybe someday I'll be able to see TVXQ in real life too.

It's just amazing really, how all these fan accounts really confirm that those Dong Bang Boys -- Junsu, Micky, Yunho, Jaejoong and Changmin -- are real. It's amazing when you know that they're real. That they're not just in pictures, in videos. That real people have seen them. Talked to them. stood in the same tile as them. Just amazing.

Oh! And Yunho is SO NICE TO HIS FANS. AAAAH he's so nice! He always waves at them and says hello and accepted a gift from a fan! AAAAH lucky fan! So many people are saying that they're really gorgeous in person. If they're already wonderful in pictures, imagine up close and personal~!

TVXQ, fighting! You are the best, you can do it!!!!

P.S.: OH! I actually BOUGHT 'T'!!!!! I can't believe it, I was able to buy it for such a low price too! AAAAH XD XD It says on the back that 'This product is licensed to be distributed and sold in the following territories: Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia only.' The Philippines!!! We're actually recognized! hahaha. Shame that 'this product' is never distributed and sold in this country. At least they have us in their plan! : D

Stick to your goal and conquer THIS.

I read from AllKPop that LSM had ideas on having TVXQ and BoA debut in the United States. And like many of the fans who reacted with the news, my say is this:

DO NOT GO THERE.

America will kill TVXQ. Their kind of entertainment, the light-hearted, refreshing and comedic type, won't fit into America's harsh culture at all. And if TVXQ will change their image just for that, just to enter the American market, then it's somehow equal to erasing what we fans have liked about them since the beginning. TVXQ also cannot speak English, even if they can sing it.

LSM, make TVXQ stay here in Asia and continue their goal in conquering it. There are still many countries to break into here, although just by that thought I'm feeling bad for the boys already (are you going to make them live in another country and learn another language for five years)? But still. TVXQ belongs here in Asia, and they're very well loved. Think of all the countries your boys has broken into -- of course, Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia. But right now, they're just into Korea and Japan.

Go to China and you'll have both Taiwan and Hong Kong.

OR, if you really wanna test the talents of TVXQ, make them go here, in the Philippines. We're sadly a mini-America. If you can make it here then YOU HAVE GREATLY ACHIEVED SOMETHING.

BoA has a chance. Sort of.

My Ideal Man

Is Xiah Junsu. XD

Junsu just makes me so happy whenever I see him/hear him. He sings so beautifully even if my friend has said that he has a whiny voice. When you listen to him, he sounds so beautiful that his voice immediately touches your heart. He sings so much with his heart that his songs (as well as his parts in songs) pour out emotion so much. His voice is so amazing. His capability to perform - so amazing too. When you watch him you can feel the world stop, and that his voice is the only voice you're hearing; he totally changes into another person when he performs. It's simply amazing.

And Junsu is such a sweet person. Reading various tidbits and trivia about him, he never fails to make me smile. That was what was so nice about him -- he was so CUTE, so ADORABLE. So SWEET and PURE, as the other members have said. Such a good boy to his mom and to his family; such a funny and sweet man to his fans. His jokes and comments are so funny too -- I read a UFO reply wherein a fan called out "Man of perfection!' etc etc etc and he jokingly said 'You're calling me, right?' XD And there's this time that Junsu said that every member of Dong Bang Shin Ki is popular in their own way. Yunho because he's manly; Micky because he's cute; Changmin because he's nice, and Jae because he was pretty. And then Junsu tells us that he's popular because he's perfect. XD I laughed so hard when I read that.

And perfect he is XD Of course, you can't ignore his famous oyaji gags. I LOVE his oyaji gags -- he's so cute whenever he tells one of them! And his embarassed laugh -- priceless! It's so cute too that everyone picks on him. Changmin and Jaejoong are especially brutal on this. Ahahaha.

But at first glance you wouldn't really think of Junsu as cute. When i first became a fan of TVXQ I liked Changmin and Jaejoong first, then I started to like Junsu. After that came Micky and Yunho (Yunho is gorgeous!). His charisma (or his said lack of it) just pulls you in. And then you find yourself finding Xiah Junsu so adorable. I can't explain it properly, but I'm sure plenty of the Xiah fans feel the same. XD

And when he sings -- oh god. He's so handsome when he sings. I mean, others may not approve when i say Junsu is so hot, but to me he really is. When he sings he just melts people's hearts away; you can even see the wonderful emotion in his face. He expresses them so well. Add to that that he sings EXCEPTIONALLY. I can't express this enough. His voice is just WONDERFUL. And he dances well, too. Second to Yunho! Wonderful.

I guess what I like so much about Junsu is his pureness. And charm. It's these two inexplicable things which really pulled me in. Junsu is such a wonderful person; we wish you happiness!!

Just a little post on how much I love Xiah Junsu. ^^

Congratulations!!

During the last usual single/album/whatever release day in Japan, my top two favorite groups Arashi (yes I still love them) and TVXQ gained top spots in their respective categories. Arashi topped the New Albums list with Dream "A" Live and TVXQ dominated the Singles list with "Beautiful You."

AAAAH I love Beautiful You! It's so beautiful hahahaha! I just love the song, the vocals, everything. I'm just not too keen on the dance -- they look like Johnnies (no offense), and the dance seemed to throw the song off. I'm more inclined to think of real dancing and not the jazzy thingamajigs when it comes to TVXQ. But really wonderful vocals! Changmin! Junsu!!! XD XD Aah minna saranghae! XD

And the PV! Again, the dancing was a bit 'uh...' but the video was really nice. Everyone looks so good (I'm not that sure with Micky, though -- what's up with your hair? It's like a poofed-up Sawada Shin MatsuJun-style); Yunho took my breath away XD XD Junsu too! Everyone - wonderful XD

Recently I read a person's comment which said she wanted TVXQ in Music Station; someone replied that Johnny Kitagawa will never agree to it. Does Johnny own Music Station, too? And apparently when they had Koda Kumi as a guest to perform 'Last Angel', TVXQ was merely brought in to perform and was asked to leave right away, with no proper interview and sit-in time like the rest of the audiences?

Aaah that's unfair. TVXQ works their butts off!

I really have to watch the Five in the Black concert, as well as 'T'. I haven't even watched AAA! Hahaha

I have to stop

Comparing fandoms.

DBSK and Arashi have their own strengths and weaknesses. DBSK members are more of singers and dancers; Arashi members are more of entertainers. DBSK has a manly/mature image, while Arashi has a more cute and friendly image. I think I was just feeling a tad...er...whatever, when it came to my newfound fandom.

But I love them both. Now, though, I'm leaning more towards DBSK, but maybe someday I'll turn back to Arashi. I really don't know. : O

Has anyone watched Romantic Princess? George Hu, the one who plays Nanfeng Lin, looks like a bigger, bulkier version of Nino.

I kept pointing at him and saying 'Nino' every time he popped on screen.

P.S: This SONG is wonderful. His voice - ohmgsmexy
